I mean… WOW. Look at that dress!?

Jessica’s dress was gorgeous – and PINK! Which totally complimented her personality. Jessica and James’s story of how they met is one of the most unique we’ve heard. Upon meeting James for the first time (before they started dating), Jessica’s Mother said “He’s the one you are going to marry.” It was meant to be between these two, and we couldn’t be more honored to have captured their day.

I know we don’t talk about this often, but we purchase the license to all the songs we use in our videos. James and Jessica’s reel was cut to “Once in a Lifetime” by Landon Austin and licensed through The Music Bed. For more deets on why we license the songs we use, and what this means – check out our articled titled “Why use licensed music?” and get informed!

    Much love – GBVideo

Okay, anyone that knows Megan and Josh, obviously know that they know how to throw a party. These two were having non-stop fun on their wedding day. We felt like we were at a traveling party more than a wedding. It was like a breath of fresh air, with these two. They started their day at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Jacksonville (where their reception would be held), and took trolleys from the Hyatt to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. All the groomsmen were decked out in different color shoes and shades – even the Priest couldn’t ignore their colorful shoes during the ceremony and excellently tied in Josh’s choice of red shoes and how red symbolizes love. Great move!

We’d never shot at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church before and were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and elaborate the interior was – we wish we had an extra hour just to capture details of the church! We will be shooting there again this summer and can’t wait to spend more time capturing all the beautiful details. :)

Megan and Josh’s reception was a blast. They purchased Guest Well Wishes as an ala carte item from us – and Kyle enjoyed going around during the cocktail hour to capture all their guests. As the night went on, and the more intoxicated the guests became, the funnier the well wishes were. We know Megan and Josh are going to love all the fun stuff their guests said. :)

Megan and Josh – thank you for choosing us to capture your epic party!

One of the great things about our job, is the connection we have with our couples. Either we’re both big Gator fans, went to school together, shot a friend of theirs wedding or, in the case of Dan and Keri, our parents met while on vacation in Mexico! Shortly after Keri booked us for her July wedding, we discovered Dan’s Mother met my parents at a resort in Mexico last November. They didn’t immediately make the connection till Keri told her future Mother-in-Law who she booked to capture her day. Keri is also the cousin of one of our past brides (and my old college roommate), Stephanie. Every day we discover how truly small our world is, and how every one of us is connected in some way or another. Which, we think, totally rocks!

Anywho, back to Dan and Keri’s wedding! Dan and Keri were married at Orange Park Presbyterian, followed by a gorgeous reception at the Orange Park Woman’s Club. Keri and Dan booked our joint package with Matt Whytsell Photography, so we had the chance to hang with one of our favorite photography crews too, while Keri and Dan got an incredible deal. A win-win for all!

The details at Dan and Keri’s wedding were incredible. From the photo booth, to the lemonade stand, to the dessert bar, and their cupcake tower – delicious! We are totally loving the cupcake alternative to wedding cakes. So yummy – and portion controlled. Good for those who are watching those post-prego pounds (me! lol).

Dan and Keri – we are so happy you found us and booked us! We had so much fun with you both. Wishing you both the best! Much love, GBVideo.

  • St. Augustine River House Wedding Highlights // Daniel + Elizabeth

Daniel + Elizabeth // Highlight Reel from Gator Bride Videography on Vimeo.

One of my favorites. I mean, how can you go wrong with custom vows and gator details, along with a fun wedding party?

Through all the St. Augustine weddings we have captured, we have yet to have the opportunity to capture a wedding at the beautiful River House in St. Augustine. Seriously… this place is GORGEOUS. It basically feels like a big house, with a library (complete with fireplace!), entry foyer, rooms to get ready in, back decks and lawns for tailgate games and ceremonies, and of course, a beautiful ballroom for a reception. This place has it all. It was the perfect location for Daniel and Elizabeth’s wedding.

Let me tell you, I have never been to a wedding with so many details. Elizabeth really outdid herself. Even the shelves and mantle in the library at the River House was decorated with flowers and personal details. Every where you turned there was something sweet and special representing the couple’s fun personalities and love for each other. And the theme of their day… “Best Day Ever.” Love it!

Daniel and Elizabeth had a great wedding party who kept us laughing all day long. Which, obviously, made for some fantastic footage. We also had the chance to meet Sarah of Sarahdipity Photography – who was incredibly cool! She also is super talented. Be sure to check out the photos she posted from Daniel and Elizabeth’s Wedding. They rock!

  • Ponte Vedra Beach Wedding Highlights // Caroline + Ryan

Ryan + Caroline // Highlight Reel from Gator Bride Videography on Vimeo.

We’re back! And, oh my gosh… what a wedding to come back to!

As you might have noticed, we haven’t put up a new wedding reel in over 5 months! Of course, our new bundle of joy just had to be born in the middle of busiest couple of months for us wedding vendors: March & April. We don’t typically get too much in January and February which is nice because it’s usually the only time we get a chance to go on vacation and such. So, with the slow months of January and February and our months off for Tanner, March and April, we didn’t get the opportunity to capture the love we love to capture until Caroline and Ryan’s wedding.

Of course, we had other things to keep us busy (not to mention a baby) like the Lakeside Ranch Promo, Matt’s Proposal Video, the Beloved Photography Promo with Kristin Kozelsky, and the Fairytale Wedding Show.

But, more about our awesome couple… and their perfect wedding day!

    Caroline and Ryan 3

The day started off at this amazing beach house in Ponte Vedra Beach. The first half of the day was perfect: sunny, warm, with a slight breeze. It was everything you could ask for with a wedding by the beach. We finished up at the house with Caroline getting into her amazing dress and Ryan seeing her for the first time at their first look.

Then we were off to the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club Spa’s lawn which is nestled between the beach and a golf course. What a nice spot! The wedding went off without a hitch despite the fact that Caroline and Ryan had, like, a ZILLION bridesmaids and groomsmen! I think only Myron and Michelle beat them out on this one. They were all awesome, though, and were a true testament to the type of people that Caroline and Ryan are. Not everyone can amass that many people close enough to have as an integral part of your wedding day.

Just as Tania from Clear Skies Photography was finishing up the family portraits, the rain started to fall. So, with a brisker-than-usual pace, we trekked across the street to the actual Inn and Club where they were having the reception in an open courtyard. Oh no! Not to worry, though. When the time came for them to be introduced and have their first dance, the rain had subsided and, thanks to G-Nys Entertainment, the rest of the reception was full of dancing, laughter, and fun and capped off by what had to be the best-organized sparkler exit of all time.

    Caroline and Ryan 7

We wish Caroline and Ryan the best for the future and we have absolutely no doubt that will be the case with all the friends and family. Caroline’s father put it best: “The most important things in life are not things. They’re the people who you’ve touched their lives and who’ve touched your lives. And these people are here because you’ve touched their lives…”

Stay tuned for more updates as we get back in the swing of things with a new baby, and tackle more reels! :)
